Lion Brian Machado is a candidate for Mayor of Cayucos!

Some of the noteworthy (there are many) and very patriotic features of our 4th of July Parade are the red, white and blue balloon arches over the parade route.  Each year many volunteers inflate the balloons, assemble the arches and erect them over Ocean Avenue.  A fundraising competition is held to help raise money for this project.  Different civic organizations sponsor a candidate for the post of Honorary Mayor, and the candidate that raises the most money is 'elected'.  This year, Lion Brian is our candidate.
